William Magear Tweed (April 3, 1823 – April 12, 1878), infamously known as "Boss Tweed of Tammany Hall, NYC." Autograph as "Approval of expenditures as Commissioner of Public Works"; together with a check drawn on the Broadway Bank signed by members of Tweed Ring, Richard B. Connolly, the City Comptroller and the Mayor, A. Oakey Hall. Numerous other signatures in ink; all framed together with a copy of an image of Tweed in the center. Research material attached to back of frame. Good condition although not examined out of frame. Height of frame 12 inches (30 cm.) X width of frame 26 inches (66 cm.).
