The artist Richard E. Templeton, after a successful career in Architecture, became recognized as a serious watercolorist. His work can be found in private collections throughout the country and in Europe. His warm feelings for the coastal life validated even his most casual sketches. watercolor artwork of Richard E. Templeton since 1983. The artist passed away in 1993. Templeton’s colorful watercolor paintings represent the lifestyle and customs of people that live on the coast, as well as the artist’s own love of life and passion for his art, feature many themes that Templeton incorporated into his work throughout his career, including humor, leisure, sailboats, crab women, flowers, beach life, fishing, golf, and Mardi Gras.
