DAOGUANG FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN TEA POT

拍品描述: Chinese porcelain finely potted in square domed body, with the square curved spot elevated from the shoulder, balanced with square loop handle. The rectangular lid supported arched finial. Raised on four low legs. The exterior decorated with vivid famille rose hand painting of waterside landscape, enclosed within lozenge cartouche, set beneath pale-yellow pendant patterned ribbon on the shoulder. Floral ribbons decorating the pyramidal lid. The underbase remain unglazed, revealed a grayish-brown ground with grayish spots of firing mark. The composition is sophisticated and the colors are simply a feast for the eye. The body shows crackle glazed pattern.
The tea pot fitted unto a golden-yellow covered hard cushion inside a hardwood box.

Mark on base, an impressed four seal script -ZhuanShu- characters mark.
