Chinese porcelain potted in a celestial form, bulbous body with round shoulder gently tapered toward tall cylindrical neck, leading to slightly wider rim; raised upon a flat concaved base. The exterior delicately decorated with famille rose hand painting within a quatrefoil lobed ruyi shaped gilt cartouche, depicted magpie over colorful chrysanthemum blooms. All reserved against a pale-turquoise-blue underglazed ground. Elegantly displayed upon a carved hardwood stand. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, pooling on the base slightly veiling the mark.
Mark on base, a six blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing. Provenance: Consigned by the heir of M Nye, these items have records that were purchased from the estate of "The Goods & Chattels of Martha Mace".
