拍品描述: The vase is stoutly potted of characteristic Chinese MeiPing form, It has a narrow base, a wide body, swelled toward round shoulder, with narrow neck leading to a banded rim and narrow opening. Delicately decorated around the exterior with various tones and shades of cobalt blue under glazed of ascending phoenix borne amidst variegate stylized flowers and leafily tendrils. The foot banded with upright lappets enclosing the suspending uptala. Initiated conjugated marks between upper and lower parts of the vase during the kiln process can be seen from uneven surface below the shoulder.
The underside base left unglazed, reveal pale-creme with burnt grayish-orange spots in the firing.

Provenance: Consigned by the heir of M Nye, these items have records that were purchased from the estate of "The Goods & Chattels of Martha Mace". Located in New Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania; these records are dated Oct 1866.
