拍品描述: A Chinese Ming Dynasty famille jaune porcelain plate, center body decorated in cobalt-blue glazed striding dragon between flames and clouds within double fine blue rings compromising the cavetto, before band of six variety of flowers on the rim, all reserved against pale-yellow ground. The underside left unglazed, with pale-creme base and grayish-creme firing spots.

Mark on the exterior rim, six blue script -KaiShu- characters, enclosed within blue rectangular frame border, XuanDe Reign Period of Great Ming.

Provenance: Consigned by the heir of M Nye, these items have records that were purchased from the estate of "The Goods & Chattels of Martha Mace". Located in New Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania; these records are dated Oct 1866.
