Very fine carved Chinese nephrite jade of covered urn original wooden box. Formed in shape of a baluster urn, flattened ovoid body raised on splayed foot, wide waisted neck with domed lid and bud finial. Two dragon shaped ears on the neck adorned with open work carving comforting floral motifs. The urn is finely carved with archaic geometrical motifs entwined to simulate a symmetrical pattern resembled the taotie masks with the seeing eyes. The lid decorated with repeated tropical leaves patterns before key fret bands. The composition is sophisticated. Preciously displayed upon open-work carved spinach-green jade stand. The Jades is placed into form fitting pale-creme cushions bordered by golden-yellow ribbon, and numerous iron-red signature seals. All reserved inside the original zitan box. Showing Calligraphy Inscription labeled on the lid. The carving is smooth, with grayish-celadon iridescent, clean even tone, and moist milky appearance.
