A George III silver sauce cruet by Richard Mills, London, 1766, the cinquefoil frame pierced with scrollwork, gadroon rim, on four ball and claw feet, spiral-twist stem with kidney-shaped grip, with three of the original five silver-mounted diamond-cut glass sauce bottles, each with a crescent-shaped sauce label, one only with maker's mark of Susanna Barker, circa 1790, the other two unmarked, incised respectively for "Kyan", "Lemon" and "Tarragon", 17 cm. high, weighable silver 186 gm.
one bottle has broken neck and lead repair to finial, otherwise in good order, frame is fully marked to base and further marked within piercing of sides with maker and lion passant
