An unusual George III silver soup ladle by John Lambe, London, probably 1780, Old English pattern with spiral twist stem, maker's mark at top of stem, the lion passant, leopard's head and date letter at bottom of stem within the fluting, engraved with a late Victorian monogram "SM" under a coronet, wt. 163 gm.
