拍品描述: A mid Victorian 18 carat gold open faced fob watch, the textured gilt dial with black Roman numerals and blued steel spade hands, the bar cylinder movement signed 'Le Compte, Geneve', the cuvette presentation engraved 'To Charles Kean/Given as a token of heart-felt esteem/from his attached and devoted friend/William Platt/ NOVr 1859', the case back engraved with monogram 'CK' a boar crest above, 38mm diameter, 39.7gms Charles Kean was the son of the celebrated Shakespearean actor, Edmund Kean. CONDITION: movement not functioning. Pin head dent to case back. Crystal scratched. Light scuffs to metal surfaces.
