The work has been examined in its frame. Overall in good condition despite inevitent staining and few minor losses to the edge of the cloth. All consistent with age.中文內容僅供參考,請以英文原版為準。畫作未經拆框檢視。整體品相良好,惟布本見汚漬及邊緣處見少許缺損。均與年代相符,屬正常。The present piece appear to be a safe conduct document, possibly to travel between inner and outer Mongolia, featuring both Manchurian inscription as well as the eagle of the Russian empire. A similar passport/ safe conduct document was in the collection of the late Consul of Mongolia Jan Brummelhuis (1935-2006), Amsterdam, see Surya Rutten The Cusen collection: Mongolian Art Colllected by the late Honorary Consul of Mongolia Jan Brummelhuis, Amsterdam, 2011.
