The compressed globular body supported on a short ridged foot, the neck with an everted rim, finely painted in rich cobalt-blue tones around the exterior with rare scenes of, on one side, three bushy-tailed fo-lions surrounded by bats, lingzhi, gnarled pine and rockwork, a similar scene to the other side with two fo-lions, divided by a pair of biscuit lion mask handles, a pattern of pendant ruyi to the foot, repeated at the neck below a band of bamboo, the inner rim with four cartouches containing alternately peony and chrysanthemum blooms against a diaper pattern ground, the base unglazed, together with carved wood stand.
