Many of these mirrors were unearthed in Kaesong, the capital of Goryeo, but others have also been found in China and dated to the Song/Jin dynasties. Ellsworth was described as a Song dynasty object at Christies New York 22 March 2012 lot 1470. The Cleveland Museum features another example where both possibilities are mentioned. BRONZE-SPIEGEL. Die reliefierte Szene zeigt Ci Fei im Kampf mit einem Seemonster in wild bewegten Wellen auf einem Schiff mit hohem Mast. Inschrift in archaischer Siegelschrift: huang ji chang tian (sein Glanz ist so gro? wie das Sonnenlicht). Es existieren verschiedene Varianten dieses Themas, viele ausgegraben in Kaesong, der früheren Hauptstadt der Goryeo Dynastie, aber auch in China aus der Song- und Jin-Zeit. Vgl.
