Pair of large 19th C antique Qing Dynasty Chinese silk Kesi panel slit tapestry. Each is finely decorated in mirrored images, with metallic threads showing front facing dragon medallions. A descending Fu bat over the stylized longevity Shou character set above the dragon. Further with flying phoenix enclosed within Quadra-petal ruyi shaped cartouche on beneath the dragon . Shows striding Qiling surrounded with Fu-bats on lower panel. With cresting LiShui water and rock mountain peak on the lower rim. Interspersed by colorful Bajixiang, The Eight Buddhist emblems on iron-red silk background. The tapestry has a smooth surface and appears exactly the same on the front and back. All sets within newer royal blue matted border and golden color frame.
