拍品描述: Pair of antique Chinese rectangular lacquered wall plaques, each decorated with large gilt character shaped cartouche, one with wealth Fu, and other with longevity Shou. Each character enclosed the Nine jade Luohans standing in arrange amidst a colorful landscape scene carved from arrays of semi precious stones inlaid including agate, lapis-lazuli, carnelian, jadeite, and turquoise. Unto the top with inlaid inscriptions in detail relief. All sets over a ebony lacquered panel, bordered with open-work carved spandrels before the thick frame in archaic motif. The composition is sophisticated and the decoration colors are simply a feast for the eye.
