18TH/19TH CENTURY 清中期 白玉小觀音瓶兩件 each well-hollowed of pale icy stone, the first worked out of a russet skin silhouette to show the vase flanked by mock handles above a taotie mask, the second of baluster form, the mouth flecked with hints of russet, carved to show upper and lower registers incised with plantain leaves about a central band of mythical-beast head masks. Height of taller 2 1/4 in., 5.7 cm. Property from the Collection of John J. Thompson, Minneapolis, Minnesota condition:Together with a snuff bottle spoon and padded silk box. Each presenting in overall good attracitve condition. The stone with some some natural inclusions and soiling.
