18TH-19TH CENTURY 清中期 廣式銅胎畫琺琅執壺及扇貝式大盤 the ewer in the form of a nautilus shell, powerfully modelled with an scrolling ear-form handle and pedestal ball foot, painted with undulating floral scrolls in a delicate palette. The basin modelled as a large scallop shell, supported on tripod conical feet. The exterior painted in alternating sections of green, blue, and rose delineated along each rib, and the interior with a white ground and decorated with various aquatic creatures. Height of ewer 9 3/4 in,. 24.7 cm. condition:Each showing expected levels of rubbing and wear to enamels, alongside old restorations: the ewer restored at the handle, and the basin with several restorations including inpainting to either side.
