Louis XIV pendule — France, 18th c. Three-sided glazed case with round-arched finial and putto with hourglass as crown, rich bronze applications in the form of foliage and an ornamental leaf fan, boulle inlays of engraved brass and tortoise shell; richly relieved front plate with Roman hour numerals in enamel cartouches, half-hour striking movement with repetition (?). Movement marked on the back ''Estienne à Paris''. 85 x 44 x 23 cm. - Walkability not checked, movement to be revised. - Due to the current provisions, an export in third countries will not be granted for objects made of ivory, tortoise shell or rhinoceros horn; the sale within the European Community is unrestricted. // Louis-XIV-Pendule — Frankreich, 18.
