拍品描述: Pair of Apothecary Jars with Lion's Head Handles — Southern Germany, 18th century. The oval body over a round foot, the shoulder with two fully sculptured, blue painted lion heads, cylindrical neck; rectangular inscription band ''Diatar. Del. C.'' and ''Ung. Populeo'' (ointment for the treatment of burns) respectively, accompanied above and below by flowers with pinnate leaves. White glazed faience with blue painting and manganese inscription. H. 19 cm. - Damage due to age, both with glued cracks. // Paar Apothekengef??e mit L?wenkopfhandhaben — Süddeutschland, 18.
