拍品描述: Colour on paper, 16.2" x 11.2" — 41.2 x 28.5 cm., numbered in pencil 50/100, signed in pencil ‘69-12 SORA Provenance: From an Important Private Collection, Canada Note: Mitsuaki Sora was born in Hiroshima in 1933, and graduated from the renowned Tama College of Fine Arts. While he specializes in sculptures of stone, he began printmaking in the 1960s. Each medium is defined by Sora’s organic, rounded forms, creating a cohesive and iconic aesthetic. His woodblock prints are included in the permanent collections of several museums, including the Utsukushigahara Museum, Nagano, the Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art, Toyko, the Kure City Museum, Hiroshima, and the Kanagawa Prefectural Museum, Japan.
