Provenance: Purchased by the late J.B. da Silva (1918-2003) at Chancellors Auctioneers, 26th April, 1982 for ￡185.00. No receipt but itemised in collection notes and sold with a local newspaper sale report where the brush pot is mentioned.
清乾隆 竹雕支元福作"菊庵"款王乔凫舄图笔筒
题诗：沉沉五鼓去朝天，飞舄逢临玉陛前，不是云端召赐履，那知宝辙优神仙。菊庵
支元福[清]字雪樵，号菊菴，乾隆时（一七三六―一七九五）人。后得顾阿瑛"玉山完璞"竹根印，遂更名璞，号玉山。镇洋（今江苏太仓）诸生。性孤介绝俗，人咸以"支怪"目之。画法得王昱指授，善仿倪瓒，秀逸可爱，非应至好之求不为，帮所作甚罕。能诗，工篆刻，卒年七十七。
