Provenance: Purchased by the late J.B. da Silva (1918-2003) from Christophe for 85 shillings in January 1960. No receipt but mentioned in collection notes.
Monkey, bees, magpie, and deer are combined to convey 'giving great wealth and bestowing a noble title' (jue lu feng hou). Compare with a similar dish in the Metropolitan Museum, New York, Accession Number: 79.2.378
