拍品描述: Fired clay. Pre-Columbian America, Inca, approx.13th to 14th cent. Flat bottom, the lower vessel part is conical, the upper section arched with curved ihm handle displaying a pipe-shaped spout with flared rim. The front side of the handle arch continues in a standing figure, whose face looks more monkey-like and wears a very jagged cap. An especially long arm grasps to the bottom where there is a fork-like object. The body of the creature, wearing a loincloth, is painted. Painting with geometric motifs is also featured on the upper vessel curvature. The great empire of the Inca, perhaps the most famous culture of Old America, existed from 13th to 16th century.
