Glazed Oribe ceramic. Japan, approx. Meiji to 20th cent.
Flat bowl with straight sides and irregular form, for offering little snacks to guests. The green glazed areas are here underlaid with a tight grid pattern, also shown on the unglazed bottom. On the cream-colored glaze with craquelé in brown color are lineal patterns and leaf motifs. Mark on the bottom.
