拍品描述: Netsuke, boxwood Delicious, clever and finely crafted netsuke! Stretched out with his head on the mokugyo ("wood fish", a fish jew′s harp) Tanuki - a kind of raccoon dog as mythical creature – seems to be sleeping. However – one eye is open and alertly looking up resp. effectively inlaid. Tanuki has a rosary beside him and will hypocritically convert to a priest. Very good hair carving, thick tail, underneath the gong handle in the shape of two dragon fish. Good coloring, exactly formed himotoshi on the back, little signature beneath. Includes a lovely box. LENGTH 4,8 CM
