Amitayus is a special form of the Buddha Amitabha, prevailing in Eastern Asia. His hallmarks are lavish jewelry, as well as the little amrta vase (missing), containing the Nectar of Life. His name means "endless lifetime". Amitayus wears a five-pointed crown, seated in padmasana on a lotus throne. Scarf garlands, flaming elements on the the ears and very well preserved gilding of this little cult bronze.
