A late George III mahogany chest of 4 long, graduated and cock-beaded drawers, with brass swan-neck handles, the rectangular moulded top, cross-banded and inlaid with boxwood stringing, raised on splayed bracket feet, small amount of damage, 90cm wide x 50cm x 83cm highCondition report: Overall - good colour and figuring. Handels possibly original.Top - two hairline cracks on the middle left, 20cm and 26cm long. Some small stains.Front - top drawer lacking one vertical cock-bead. 3rd drawer down with old 14cm shallow gouge. Left of apron lacking 3cm section of veneer and both front feet chipped, largest 2.5cm on right bracket foorSides - left lacking 20cm section of bead on the base. Both sides with very fine hairline cracks.
