A small, well proportioned, George III mahogany chest of drawers, the rectangular moulded top above a brushing slide, over 4 long, graduated, cock-beaded drawers, with brass swan-neck handles, raised on bracket feet, top with 4 patches, some minor damage, 78cm x 45.5cm deep x 82cm highCondition report: Overall - good colour and proportions. carcase sides and drawer fronts mahogany.Top - 13cm triangular patch back right. Smaller similar patch back left and 17cm triangular patch front left. Small corner patch front right. Moulding formerly broken 3/4 along front edge and subsequently re-stuck. Some ink stains.Sides - right with 13cm hairline crack back right at base.Back right bracket re-stuck as formerly broken and water stained.Front bracket feet - water stained lower sections.Front - facing section of brushing slide probably later. Possibly original handles. 1st drawer lacking 7cm section of vertical cock-bead and small crack across lower right corner. 11cm horizontal hairline crack from left edge of 2nd drawer down to handle. 3rd drawer upper edge cock-bead needs re-gluing, as buckled.
