拍品描述
Set of 2 pcs, from 20th C. Chinese Cloisonne teapots, one cast with globular body with straight sides terminating the round shoulder and lower belly, raised on three cabriole legs suspending from animal masks, the spot with peacock mask on the tip, with scrolling foliate handle and looped hand flanked on the shoulder, with a beast mask on the forefront. The flat cover supported a lion finial, with a chain link attached on the lower handle. The exterior decorated with various auspicious geometrical patterns including silk worms, key fret and triangular motifs, against a turquoise blue ground. Banded numerously with gilt rope motif. Having gilt underbase.
Smaller tea pot cast in a flattened round body, with rooster tail handle and rooster head motif spout, the narrow opening topped with flat cover supporting further rooster finial. The exterior decorated with feathers and scrolling foliate motifs against the turquoise blue ground.

Dimension: (tallest in set) 14" H x 13-1/4" W

PROVENANCE:
From a prominent antique collector, in little country home near Cummings, Georgia we found items collected over years and passed down from one generation to the next that we found to be genuinely amazing. While they appeared to live a very modest life their collections told a completely different narrative. We were able to acquire items from this collection in 2015. .
