About the artist: Ukrainian painter.
Mikhail Petrovich Borimchuk was born on November 20, 1926 at the station of Popelnya, Zhytomyr Region.
Since 1944 he studied at the T.G.Shevchenko Kiev Art School, which he graduated with honors in 1947.
From 1947 to 1954 he studied at the Kiev State Art Institute. Teachers - V. Kostetsky, I. Shtilman, K. Eleva, G. Melikhov. The graduate work of Mikhail Borimchuk "Spill on the Dnieper" was rated "excellent".
Since 1951, he has participated in republican, all-union and international art exhibitions.
Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR since 1967.
He worked in the field of easel painting. Master of genre paintings, landscapes and portraits.
In 1954-1956 he worked as an artist in the Museum-Reserve Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
From 1956 until his retirement he worked in the Kiev branch of the Art Fund of the Ukrainian SSR.
The works of M.P. Borimchuk are presented in gallery and private collections in Ukraine, the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the USA, Canada, Australia and other countries.
