拍品描述: Description JACQUES BEURDELEY (FRENCH 1874-1954) Cottage in a wooded landscape signed and numbered 12/75 (lower left) signed within the plate and in pencil (lower right) etching 28 x 39 cm (sheet) The painter and etcher Jacques Beurdeley was born in Paris. His father was an influential politician who numbered Puvis de Chavannes and Whistler among his friends. Beurdeley studied under Fernand Cormon at L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts, to whose studio Toulouse-Lautrec was a frequent visitor. Beurdeley studied printmaking with Eugène Carrière and with Auguste Delatre, who taught him etching techniques.
