拍品描述: A rectangular silk kang cover (seat cover), the pale yellow ground embroidered in Peking knots with various stylised flowers, including lotus, chrysanthemum, peony, daisy and lily amongst trailing stems and foliage. The symmetrical design set around a medallion with an open lotus flowerhead to the centre and bordered with bats in flight, some carrying ruyi heads and musical stones tied with ribbons. The design worked in shade of red, pink, blue, cream and aubergine silks. Lined with pale yellow silk.

Provenance: From a private continental family

Condition: the bottom edge of the one short side is fragile.
