MASSIVE GILT BRONZE CLOISONNE ENAMEL COVERED SQUARE

拍品描述
The Chinese cloisonne enamel gilt bronze vessel cast in shape of squared baluster body, square domed shoulder tapering to square neck and flat rim, two loop handles projected from Fu bat mask on both sides, with four flanges everted on four corners beneath the handles. The trapezoid cover characterized of four gilt phoenix everted from the rim, all facing outward, with its tail curled flowed upward. The exterior richly decorated in cloisonne works with band od zoomorphic patterns, forming TaoTie masks, interspersed by leiwen and lattice patterns. The cloisonne decorating has been done with impressive fluency and detail.

Mark on gilt base, incised six script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within double rectangular frames, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.

PROVENANCE: Some of the items for sale in this auction come from an entrepreneur, businessman world traveler that resides near the Ocala Florida area as their winter home, They are philanthropists and donate their time and money to those that are underprivileged or those in in need of medical attention that they can not afford. Their personal collection of very high end antiques is museum quality that is cherished and sought after by serious collectors.

Traced numerous tiny-holes of corrosions on enamel filling, No missing wires found on cloisonne works. With normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents, and trace of declined on gilt. Normal, consider ages and wear. Over all in excellent condition.
