The pair of Chinese gilt bronze and cloisonne enamel covered censers cast in the octagonal baluster jar, has a tall feminine silhouette with broad shoulders and a bulbous body that tapers to the foot. The vessel raised on four tall legs, surmounted from four ruyi medallion. The baluster jar is capped by a tall bell-shaped lid, in form of a general's helmet, crowned with an oval pinnacle. The exterior delicately decorated with stylized leafy uptala, the night lotus blooms, interspersed by scrolling tendril foliate. Two handles flanked on the shoulder toward the rim, in the shape of curved ruyi scepter, with the broad LingZhi mushroom shaped head everted widely outward, adorned with rococo tropical leaves tassel and foliate along the wand. The domed cover characterized with pierced Shou medallion on each panel, supported the gilt perforate rococo floral motif surrounding further centralized Shou character beneath a floral bud finial. All reserved with dense of turquoise-blue archaic key-fret pattern against deep-royal-blue enameled ground. The cloisonne works is superb, the design is sophisticated, colorful yet elegant, a feast to the eyes.
Mark on base, protruding six gilt script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within rectangular frame border, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.

Having been stationed at numerous area around the globe his search for desirable antiques was an ongoing challenge. Traced numerous tiny-holes of corrosions on enamel filling, No missing wires found on cloisonne works. With normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents, and trace of declined on gilt. Normal, consider ages and wear. Over all in excellent condition.
