Rare Chinese Archaistic Incised and Molded Turquoise-blue glazed Porcelain Gu Vase, the recessed base carved with a 6 character Guangxu mark and of the period. Height 11 1/4 inches (28.5 cm.). Diameter at mouth 7 inches (17.8 cm.). PROVENANCE: Purchased from an old New Jersey Art Collection. NOTE: The only other matching turquoise-blue Gu vase recently offered was sold as Qianlong at Christie's Hong Kong 26 April 2004, Lot 1075 (broken and repaired) from the Jacksonville Art Museum and the same vase was offered again at Sotheby's Hong Kong 8 October 2013, Lot 3145, still as Qianlong.
