Thailand, 15th-16th century. Finely cast, the face showing a calm expression with downcast almond-shaped eyes under arched eyebrows, a slender nose, and a benevolent smile, the ears with long lobes, the hair arranged in tight curls. With an associated modern wood base.
Condition: Good condition commensurate with age, with extensive wear, cracks, losses, and a fine malachite-green and copper-red patina. Provenance: German private collection, acquired around 1950 from the collector’s father.
