拍品描述: Japan, Edo period (1615-1868)

The large charger decorated in underglaze blue with an encircled central river scene, the rims showing pine and prunus behind weathered rocks, all within diaper-pattern borders. The backside with floral sprays and an apocryphal six-character Chenghua reign mark within a circle.

DIAMETER 46.7 cm

Condition: Ver good condition with minor wear.
Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since.
