China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912). Beautifully lacquered in red and decorated in the front with fine images of court ladies and children. The two hinged doors reveal storage space for small antiques, below are two drawers, the handles formed by two dragon-headed jade belt hooks. The entire cabinet stands on a base with flared feet. The sides are decorated with birds and flowers and the back is of plain black lacquer.
Condition: Very good condition, only very minor wear. Provenance: German private collection.
