Extremely rare Western Han period white jade seal; of large square form with a slanted trapezoid top; surmounted by a coiling chilong in high relief; detailed with its strong limbs and powerful claws; the curling body terminating in a scrolling tail; the square seal face deeply and crisply carved with two characters; the stone of pale celadon tone with milky-white suffusions; the surface of the stone with a mottled russet tone probably originated from the soil erosion; H: 6.5 cm, L: 9 cm, W: 9 cm, 1033 grams
