Gilt Sterling Silver mounts hallmarked Edward H Stockwell, London, 1875 over a "moon-flask" clear glass claret jug, probably by Thomas Webb & Sons engraved in imitation of rock crystal, with designs of water and pond birds, the glass mounted in gilt silver after the carving with a carved butterfly visible under the silver hinged cover, the silver carved and cast with water weeds and lily pads and each separate part fully hallmarked. Height 14 1/4 inches (36.2 cm.).
