2 Sets of 5 Japanese 18/19 Century Nabeshima Porcelain Small Tea Ceremony Cake Plates; the first set shaped as 5 point bean flowers on 3 high feet with an underglaze blue and overglaze enamel design of bean vines, the second set of octagonal low bowls with a design of cherry blossoms caught in a spider web in underglaze blue resist, the foot with traditional "comb" pattern. The bean plates diameter 4 1/4 inches (10.7 cm.). The spider web low bowls diameter 5 3/8 inches (13.5 cm.). PROVENANCE: 2 additional spider web low bowls were sold at Eddie's Auction Lot 302, 22 October 2017 in a collection of good Japanese Porcelain from an old estate.
