A Superb Bone-Inlaid Indian Box, 19th Century. This type of work is classically done in Hoshiapur India about 1880. Crafted of Indian hardwoods of ebony and shisham (like blackwood). A smaller but similar box has been on loan from Queen Victoriaa??s collection to the Victoria and Albert Museum since 1924. Size: 7" high x 15 1/4" wide x 11 1/4" deep.
