拍品描述: Large ivory carving with carved wooden base, China, around 1900. Pagoda (ship) composed of many individual parts. The outside is filigree carved, the many incised decorations are darkly colored. On the deck a phoenix head, an openwork railing, a gate and a large shrine. The shrine can be opened with a double door, inside a holy figure (guanyin) flanked by lotus flowers, in front of the figure a rectangular vessel with swastika. The roof of the shrine is crowned by a Buddha figure. Terrain base made of dark hardwood as a foaming sea. Slightly over, a few loose parts are enclosed, approx. 65 x 70 x 30 cm
