拍品描述: Strip of gold brocaded silk with a geometric repeated pattern. The motives stand reddish against a light green background. This reddish color is the effect of a layer of lacquer covering the threads of the weft, used to adhere the gold foil. Of the gold there's nothing left except a few traces. This type of lacquered and gilded threads, the boldness of the design an the powerful of gold on green are indications that this is a relatively early weaving, probably 16th century or before. Silk: 16 by 100 cm. Mounted on green cotton on a foam-board: 23 by 106 cm.
