Dong Shouping (1904-1997) is a famous freehand painter and calligrapher. The original name was "Ki" with the word "Xiebo". Later, Nantian Yunge Yun Shouping was renamed Shouping, and he was from Dushu Village, Hongdong County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province. He graduated from Tianjin Nankai University and Beijing Dongfang University in his early years. He is famous for painting pine, bamboo, plum and orchid. In his later years, he is known as the giant of Huangshan. He painted landscapes with Huangshan as the subject, and he is also good at calligraphy. In Dong Shouping's bamboo, the word "force" runs through the whole picture. Whether it is the indomitable long buns or the partial end branches in the painting, they are full of power. That kind of decisive brushstroke shows his transcendent skill in calligraphy. Every stroke of this "Ink Bamboo Drawing" is so steady and solid, without the slightest nuisance. Even the bamboo shoots outlined in light ink are upright, vigorous and full of vigor. 137*69cm
