拍品描述: GRAY AND RUSSET JADE CARVING OF A RECUMBENT HORSE Late Ming/Early Qing Dynasty With its head turned back and appearing to roll over in a playful manner. Mane neatly incised with hairwork. Possibly designed for use as a brush rest on a scholar's table. Length 3.5". Provenance: C.P. Lee & Son, Perth, Australia. From the Troubetzkoy Foundation Collection. Horses are one of the twelve animals of the Zodiac and are a popular subject for carvers. Condition Report Undamaged.
