Attributed to MAURICE DE VLAMINCK (French 1876-1958) "Paysage Normandy" Oil on canvas. 13 1/8 x 18 1/4 inches; Frame: 17 1/2 x 22 5/8 inches. Bears signature lower left: Vlaminck; titled in pencil on the top stretcher bar: Paysage Normandy; illegibly stamped verso right edge of the canvas. Purchased by the current owners in 1997 at Butterfield and Butterfield San Francisco CA. CONDITION: In overall good condition, the canvas is not lined. There are two holes to the canvas; one at the top in the sky and one on the left edge. When examined under black light there minor areas that glow, most probably due to the thick application of paint, the signature does not glow under black light.
