拍品描述: Description Roman, North Africa, Imperial period, ca. 2nd century CE. A wheel-thrown slipware pottery flagon exhibiting vibrant remains of the original red-orange color. The bulbous vessel features a compressed body with a pronounced ridge along the midsection, a rounded shoulder that narrows to form the base of the neck, a bifurcated handle arching along the verso, and a screw-form neck that spirals upwards until terminating with a flared rim. The narrow foot enables the vessel to maintain its upright balance even when filled with liquid. Size: 5" W x 5.625" H (12.7 cm x 14.3 cm) Provenance: ex-property from the George R. Francoeur Trust, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA, sold to benefit the George R.
