拍品描述: Guillaume Coustou (1677-1746), after, imposing bronze group 'Pair of horses by Marly',19th century, bronze with black patina. The original of this pair of horses with tamers was made of Carrara marble for Louis XV. finished as a decoration for its castle in Marly-le-Roi. In 1794 the horses were brought to Paris on the Place de la Concorde; today they are in the Louvre on the covered courtyard of the Richelieu wing known as Cour Marly.
