拍品描述: An Antique Charter Chest which originally belonged to Mary Queen of Scots, papier mache with a verdigris patina, cast with a female head in oval roundel to the middle front, the front and sides cast with Saints in cloisters, the interior with later green silk lining, 24cm wide x 14cm high x 12.5cm deep. Provenance: Inside the lot is an old typed note inscribed 'This Charter Chest which originally belonged to Mary Queen of Scots, was left at Cadzow Castle on Her Majesty's departure for the Battle of Langside in 1568'.
